Surprising victory of Antoinette Milazar
Antoinette Milazar came to cap the favorite Natacha Monique who badly managed her six kilometers long race. “I am really very happy of this victory more especially as it is the first time that Rodrigues gains this principal race among female”, she declared after the race. The race took place in Mauritius.
Bigarades boxing school
Officially open hardly two weeks ago, causing the surprise of the first competition organized by the regional committee, last Saturday, at Malabar gymnasium. This school of boxing placed under the responsibility of Jocelyn Jolicoeur, joins the four other schools of boxing and the regional boxing centre, by taking the first place with nine gold medals. Pompee (six gold medals) finished second in front of Soupirs (three gold medals), Petit Gabriel and Grande Mountain (two gold medalseach one). Christophe Hypolite (youngest child) of Soupirs, Wesley Lisette (minim) of Bigarades and Bersmandy Guillaume (cadet) of Pompee, were elected best boxers of their respective category.
Moreover, the regional committee boxing adopted a list of seven boxers for future senior national championships scheduled from 13 to 15 at the National Boxing Centre, Vacoas. The selected are Fleurot Louis (-51 kg), Aniel Lisette (-57 kg), Joceman Auguste (-64 kg), Jocelyn Jolicoeur and Christopher Louis (-69 kg), Hervey Clair (-75 kg) and Hughes River (+ 91 kg). They will be accompanied by the coach Danilo Clear and eferee Jamesson Perrine.
